AIMS & SCOPE
Language and Linguistics in Melanesia (originally Kivung) is a peer-reviewed linguistic journal which has historically provided an effective forum for linguistic thought in Melanesia and the wider South Pacific region. LLM Online seeks to publish original articles dealing with the languages of Papua New Guinea and Melanesia. It is equally concerned with the regional creole languages, and with the application of linguistic research to language teaching. In addition, we encourage contributions exploring the universal principles of human language and cognition.
Continuing a long-standing tradition, LLM Online also "publishes reviews of current books and brief notes / comments on points arising out of recent publications" (Kivung: Vol. 2(1) 1969).
All communications, including books for review and listing, should be sent to the Editor at sttemple@upng.ac.pg or to langlxmelanesia@gmail.com.
