'Hebou' means 'meeting,' 'together' in Motu. For over 20 years, it was the newsletter of the Linguistic Society of Papua New Guinea, documenting the life of the society. Ray Stegeman of SIL discovered these historic issues of Hebou in one of the storage rooms in Ukarumpa in early 2013. Thanks to his efforts in scanning and sending them to the LLM team, the people and events of the past are resonating again today - on the web.
